BD Influx Cell Sorter is a so-called “jet-in-air” (droplets are suspended in an in air stream and are not in a cuvette) sorter that easily adapts to a researcher's applications. Many of the parameters, like number and power of the used lasers, sorting pressure or lasers delay can be adapted individually.
Our instrument has 8 lasers (488nm, 405nm, 445nm, 514nm, 532nm, 561nm, 594nm and 640nm) and 5 pinholes. Therefore, some of the lasers are collinear and only up to 5 lasers can be used simultaneously. Maximal 21 fluorescence channels plus forward and side scatter can be analyzed simultaneously.
