The Union Biometrica COPAS sorter is an instrument dedicated to sort objects larger than regular cells in the range from 30 to 700µm.
Three Laser: 405nm, 488nm, 561nm (colinear, i.e. one pinhole). Three detection PMTs equipped with filters for: CFP (BP1: 445/40), GFP/YFP (BP2: 510/23 or 543/22) und RFP (BP3: 615/24). Flowcell: 1000 µm, particle size max. 700µm. Sort rate (depends on sample): max. 500 events/s. Analysis in water and hydrophilic oil flow media possible. SCF service: Operator-assisted or expert mode usage only, (also for external usage).
